Junior Kyu Grade System
To progress from a solid colour belt to the next half-colour belt, the student needs to learn one half (½) of the elements required for next full level (solid colour belt). For example, to move from 7 th kyu (white) to 6 th kyu (half orange/ half green) the judoka must learn half of the elements under 7 th kyu.
