Tournaments Results
Josh Jensen is our highlighted participant this tournament. 17-year-old Josh recently competed in the Edmonton International Judo Tournament in the West Edmonton Mall which featured over 650 competitors from every Canadian province and territory (except PEI) as well as from the United States and several European nations. He had a busy day as he was involved in both the Junior Men’s (U-20) and Senior Men’s -100 kg divisions.
Josh completely dominated the Junior Men’s category, dispatching his opponents with full point throws in short order. His longest match was 12 seconds!
In the senior category Josh finished an impressive second place. He won 3 of his 4 matches quickly and easily by full point, but his bid for gold was derailed by an experienced competitor from Saskatchewan. Josh fought valiantly and put forth a good effort, but was unable to overcome his opponent’s strong defences.
